Introducing Amy…
Thank you for taking time out of your day to learn more about Amy and her music.
Amy’s journey into professional music writing has been a long one; she began writing tunes when she was 5yrs old and thoroughly enjoyed composing as part of her GCSE Music studies. Fast forward 20yrs and Amy graduated from the Open College of the Arts with a BA in Creative Arts, majoring in Music Composition.
She always knew she wanted to write music for film & TV but didn’t know how to go about it. Her student card enabled her to invest in her studio equipment and the sharp learning curve commenced. Slowly but surely she learnt the technology to create digital compositions, and with some extremely kind mentoring was soon on her way to getting signed by her first sync licensing publisher.
Amy is now signed to over a dozen publishers who are representing her music around the globe.
Examples of her TV placements can be found on her ‘Reels’ page along with clips from her scoring projects.
When she’s not composing, Amy teaches piano online to students based up and down the country.
She also loves hanging out with her cocker spaniel Freya, who is her best friend and studio assistant.
Amy also enjoys pursuing other interests such as watercolour painting, fluid art, and embroidery. Keeping fit is also important to Amy given the sedentary nature of her work, and walking with Freya & regular gym visits are scheduled into her timetable.
